OJ Simpson

Maybe it’s time to just… unplug the internet.

Notorious criminal OJ Simpson has announced that he will be joining Twitter, posting a video on the social media platform in the early hours of Saturday morning.

In the video, Simpson says: “Hey Twitter-world, this is yours truly. Now, coming soon to Twitter, you’ll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything. It should be a lot of fun, I’ve got a little getting even to do, so God bless. Take care.”

OJ Simpson, in his own words, has some getting even to do.

He also warned against other fake OJ accounts, and his Twitter bio is: “If you don’t see it here, I didn’t say it.”

Simpson was controversially acquitted of his ex-wife Nicole Brown’s murder in 1995, as well as the murder of Ron Goldstein, in 1994 – in spite of overwhelming DNA evidence implicating him in the crime. He has always maintained his innocence.

He was later convicted of robbery and kidnapping for an incident where he tried to steal sports memorabilia. He was sentenced to 33 years in prison but was released after nine.

And now he’s on Twitter.

We’re calling it now. This is going to end in tears.
