One of Dublin’s most popular streets is getting a street art makeover

JOE

What do you think it will be?

Acclaimed Irish street artist, James Earley, is set to do a brand new mural in one of Dublin’s most popular areas. Earley will be doing a graffiti-style painting on a wall beside The Bernard Shaw on South Richmond Street, Dublin 2.

The new design remains a mystery but an Earley mural will certainly give the wall and the street itself a dramatic makeover. The Dun Laoghaire artist is famous for his striking and colourful street art.

Earley comes from a strong artistic background, with his family specialising in stained glass design in Dublin for over a hundred years. James’ own work combines something of that tradition with graffiti sensibilities.

His previous murals show how these influences have come together to make amazing street art that really brings his work to life.

Earley has already created street art for many public spaces in the city, including Bloom’s Hotel in Temple Bar and the Visit Dublin mural on the City Quay. His latest work may be a mystery but his track record suggests that it will be an impressive addition to the neighbourhood.

Please drink responsibly.
