Having raised €1,700 last year, organisers have already committed to donating proceeds from this year’s event to St. Teresa’s special school in Ballinasloe.
Local businesses have also got involved, with Rumours nightclub, for example, putting up €300 towards hampers, finger food and spot prizes on the night and pledging that they will be donating €1 of the nightclub entry fee for every participant to the chosen charity.
