PIC: This Garda helped an elderly woman who was struggling in the crowds outside Robbie Williams

This will brighten up your day.

Not all heroes wear capes…

A huge crowd of people attended Robbie Williams’ gig in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday night as Robbie brought the house down with his rendition of Joe Dolan’s ‘Good Looking Woman’.

As it was such a lovely day, there were plenty of people milling about in the streets before the gig, standing outside pubs and generally just enjoying the sunny weather.

The streets were thick with people down around the Chophouse and Slattery’s Pub near the Aviva, so much so that one elderly woman was struggling to get through the crowds with her bags of shopping.

A member of An Garda Síochána spotted the woman, and proceeded to go over, carry the woman’s bags of shopping and bring her up through the crowd.

Arissa Ní Buachalla was in the area and spotted the kind deed.

The woman couldn’t manage so he went over and helped her,” Arissa told JOE. “They were chatting away walking down the road and everybody started clapping and cheering for the Garda.”

Fair play to this Garda, it’s a small gesture but it made a huge difference.

But he was not the only Garda who was providing good PR with members of the public, as Doug Leddin spotted at the Robbie Williams concert…

Cheers to Arissa Ní Buachalla for sending this our way.
