This chat between a mammy and her daughter isn’t what you’d expect so close to Mother’s Day

Carl Kinsella

Someone fetch a bar of soap.

With the week that’s in it, we’d expect everybody to be on their best behaviour when it comes to talking to their mammies.

Apparently, one daughter in particular didn’t get the memo and decided to give her mam some amount of abuse after her mother mistakenly told her there was dinner there for her when there wasn’t (which, to be fair, is quite a crime).

Nevertheless, we’re not sure we’d get away with talking to our mammy this way without ending up an awful lot better-acquainted with the wooden spoon.

We can’t wait to see what kind of texts they end up exchanging on Mother’s Day.

Thanks to Leonie Duffy for sending this one our way. If you’ve got any fun Irish mammy stories, let us know on Facebook or at [email protected]
