There are certain things that millenials in Ireland just won’t understand. To be fair, it’s not their fault that they weren’t born to witness a time when MTV actually played music, Sports Stadium was own the air and 10p bars actually cost 10p (it’s scary to think that they might not even remember the punt).
Reeling in the Years can go some way to filling this cultural void but there’s one uniquely Irish form of discipline that they’ll probably never experience and long may that continue.
Anyone that has gotten a crack of the wooden spoon will know that you wouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy and that’s why Jason Hobbert’s Halloween costume really spoke to us.
