Who needs a mixtape these days?
Younger readers will obviously be completely oblivious to it, but there was a time when people would create a mixtape or a mix CD for the object of their affection, full of songs of deep meaning that would indirectly indicate their feelings for the recipient.
Corny? Sure. But this is the 1980s and 1990s we’re talking about.
Of course, in the era of digital music, nobody would dare do such a thing these days, but it’s good to see that the spirit of the mixtape is alive and well in one Spotify user, Hannah Woodley, who created a playlist with the sole intention of letting her crush know how she felt about him.
In this case, the song titles themselves literally spelt out her feelings for the object of her desire, who is far from the only one to know about it considering that a tweet posted on Tuesday has been retweeted just under 130,000 times at the time of writing.
