It’s every (drinking) man’s dream to have his own bar in his house and it was even the premise to an episode of The Simpsons and even Family Guy, and we all know that if something happens in a cartoon then it must be true to real life too.

Unfortunately, you need time, money and a very cooperative wife/girlfriend/partner who is willing to give up a sizeable portion of their gaff just so you and your buddies can have a few scoops in the comfort of your own home – without it feeling like you’re drinking at home.

So instead of wasting our time and money on a project that we’ve already given up on (*Pro tip buy the alcohol AFTER you finish building your bar), we’ve decided to take a look at five of our favourite homemade drinking spots, in no particular order…
