Traditionally, St. Stephen’s Day is a day for sleeping, watching sports and movies on TV, and eating as much of yesterday’s turkey as you can handle before your belt finally gives up on life.
This year, however, crowds of people ditched the comfort of their beds and couches to queue outside Brown Thomas’ flagship store on Grafton Street in Dublin.
Photos shared by the high-end retailer showed hundreds of people lining up from as early as 5:30am, waiting for the post-Christmas sale to begin.
More footage from inside the store moments after opening revealed a scene that would rival Black Friday scenes in America, with customers rushing into the store to seize discounts on whatever they were looking for.
