PICS: People are finding empty shelves in their local supermarkets ahead of the snowpocalypse
Folks are preparing for the worst as The Beast From The East approaches.
Listen... okay... we know the weather is going to be bad.
Met Éireann has issued a status orange weather warning with snow and ice set to hit the east of the country in the coming days, and scattered snow showers are expected in Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Louth, Wicklow and Meath on Tuesday, leading to accumulations of 4 - 6 centimetres by Wednesday morning.
But some folk have taken to their local supermarkets and moved through it like a plague of locusts.
This isn't the end of days, people.
This is a bit of snow.
This isn't a real-life remake of disaster movie The Day After Tomorrow.
It is, quite literally, a bit of snow.
Despite that knowledge, people have taken to twitter upon discovering that their local stores are completely sold out of the basics like milk and bread, like those with nuclear bunkers decided today was the day to stock up.
All this ‘beast from the east’ snow warnings has us all going mad, not a single loaf of bread left in Lidl 😂 GAS #Snowmageddon #BeastFromTheEast pic.twitter.com/H9SrJbCdQU

Our Lidl shelves are bare of milk and bread. Reckon it's being diverted to the snow-hit South East which must be reaching zombie apocalypse levels of unthinkable disaster by now.

Everyone, it’s not the apocalypse. No need to stock up until summer 🙈🤨 #BeastFromTheEast @lidl_ireland #ICameInForMilk #Jaysus pic.twitter.com/MowAeOTidC

Always have bread in your freezer. Saves you looking like a panicked fool in Tesco the night before 3 inches of snow. pic.twitter.com/GqWWXouAj8
