Folks are preparing for the worst as The Beast From The East approaches.
Listen... okay... we know the weather is going to be bad.
Met Éireann has issued a status orange weather warning with snow and ice set to hit the east of the country in the coming days, and scattered snow showers are expected in Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Louth, Wicklow and Meath on Tuesday, leading to accumulations of 4 - 6 centimetres by Wednesday morning.
But some folk have taken to their local supermarkets and moved through it like a plague of locusts.
This isn't the end of days, people.
This is a bit of snow.
This isn't a real-life remake of disaster movie The Day After Tomorrow.
It is, quite literally, a bit of snow.
Despite that knowledge, people have taken to twitter upon discovering that their local stores are completely sold out of the basics like milk and bread, like those with nuclear bunkers decided today was the day to stock up.
