A disaster for people on the way to work.
The Dublin Port Tunnel is closed this morning after a car caught fire while it was driving through the tunnel.
The Gardaí gave this update a short time ago.
Dublin: The Dublin Port Tunnel remains closed in both directions. Emergency Services are at scene. The fire has been extinguished.

The tunnel is closed in both directions during rush hour traffic so that means a lot of people are currently sitting in their cars and not going anywhere fast.
These people have revealed the extent of the backlog.

Port tunnel is closed again for ANOTHER fire. Good luck getting anywhere down the Malahide Road or Drumcondra Road. Standstills.
