Were you out last night? Manage to get home ok? How’s the head feeling? Do you have any stories to tell?
All of these questions are completely valid after any decent night on the tiles, but we’re confident in saying that your evening wasn’t as eventful, daring or heroic as Joe Troy’s.
What exactly did Joe get up to? Well, the hardiest man in the Midlands fancied a late night walk from Shinrone to Rath, Offaly. Ever the optimist, Joe reckoned that he could complete this 4 and a half hour trek before sunrise, and to his immense credit, he gave it one hell of a try.
We absolutely love the fact that Joe goes hell for leather in an effort to achieve his target because every step that’s documented is bloody hilarious. Just when you think that things can’t get any stranger, the late night music motivation kicks in and Joe somehow manages to find his second wind.
Everything here is brilliant, but we especially love the Friday Night Lights moment, the booty call-out in the middle of Offaly and the craic that Joe has with his mam.
