So JOE.ie had a particularly good night last night…

Last night was a nice one for all of us here at JOE.ie. In only our third year of existence, we managed to pick up the Best Daily Web Publication gong at the annual Web Awards.
We faced extremely stiff competition in the category, not least from our awesome sister site Her.ie – who launched just over a year ago – so naturally enough we were delighted to win.

To say picking up this award is humbling would be an understatement. We have always felt that the content on this very website was driven by our readers; sometimes literally when they’d send us stories, videos and pictures of something extraordinary that happened in their own lives; and other times simply by listening to their ever-vocal feedback and taking it on board.
The level of which JOE has grown is truly staggering. But more importantly, from a content point of view, is that we continue to evolve as a publication while listening to the loyal, prolific fanbase who have really made us what we were today.
This award belongs to our fans; JOE will humbly accept it on your behalf.
