Someone has posted an ad on DoneDeal offering to buy the winning Euromillions ticket

Euromillions

Why didn’t we think of this??

Some genius from Galway has offered to buy the winning Euromillions lottery ticket in case the actual winner is too stressed out at the thought of suddenly being a multi-millionaire.

“Pat” put the ad up 2 days ago, and has offered to pay €389,067 for it.

Which, if you haven’t figured it out, is exactly 1% of the winning jackpot amount.

Something tells us he won’t be paying this amount up front, and will likely be giving it back from his €38.9 million purchase.

Ingenious.

As per the advert:

I am looking for the winning Euro millions lotto ticket from 29th Dec 2017. To the winner of the ticket. It is a life changing amount of money. It can also be a very intimidating amount of money. If you feel that you do not want to cash in the ticket please pass it on to me. “You know what to do. Trust your inner wisdom, and take the appropriate action without delay.”

If the actual winner is looking to be rid of the fortune, Pat From Galway better be prepared for a little bit of a drive to collect his prize, as the National Lottery announced today that the ticket was purchased in the Dublin area.

Or, better yet, we just heard of a “JOE” from Dublin who has put up an offer of €389,068 for the ticket…
