PICS: This is the worst, and most gruesome sunburn we’ve seen in Ireland this week

Christ…

No matter how many times you’re urged to put on sun cream, there’s always going to be a few who don’t get the memo, or don’t quite use a high enough factor for their delicate skin.

The Irish aren’t used to 30 degree weather at home so it was only a matter of time before we started seeing some bad instances of sunburn striking down the Irish public.

Step forward Kevin Bryant from Shannon.

As we reported earlier, Shannon was the hottest place in Ireland today and Kevin made the mistake of not wearing factor 50 on what was the hottest day of the year so far.

He was left with some of the most gruesome sunburn we’ve ever seen in Ireland after he spent one hour outside near Spanish Point.

His friend John Grier sent us in this photo and when we asked Kevin if he’d any other photos, he said he was too sore to get up and take another one. Poor fella.

Be warned, the image below is not for the faint hearted so if you’re squeamish, you might want to give this one a miss.

Ok, if you’ve read that warning and still want to proceed, here it is…

Cheers to John Grier for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our mail [email protected].
