Supermac’s have brought back their limited edition festive 5oz burger just in time for Christmas

Tasty and tempting...

Supermac's

Anyone else hungry all of a sudden?

We don’t think it’s stretching it to say that the 108 Supermac’s outlets throughout Ireland could be busier than usual over the Christmas period.

As they did when it was first introduced last year, plenty of customers who pop into one of those outlets will be treating themselves to the restaurant’s limited edition Festive 5oz burger, which is making a comeback this festive season.

The limited edition Festive 5oz is a variation of Ireland’s first fresh meat burger, the 5oz Burger, made famous by Irish rugby legend, Seán O Brien.

The burgers are made from prime cuts of Irish beef, are never frozen and they’ll be topped up with caramelised mushroom and onion, a slice of swiss cheese and light peppercorn mayo in a Kaiser burger bun.

Feast your eyes on the finished product below.

“The Festive 5oz is a delicious seasonal variation that was a huge hit with our customers last year,” Supermac’s MD Pat McDonagh said.

“We pride ourselves at Supermac’s in giving our customers the variety they look for and our customers told us that they wanted the Festive 5oz back again this year.

“The secret is in the freshness,” McDonagh added.

“Fresh beef tastes better. Frozen beef loses moisture and when you lose moisture you lose taste. Our 5oz burgers are made from prime cuts of beef and are cooked to order and we only use beef sourced from Irish farmers. This is why our burgers taste better.”
