On Saturday and Sunday, 13 & 14 October, Comic Con Ireland 2018 will be taking place in RDS Simmonscourt. As ever, you can expect plenty of top guest speakers, props from movies and TV shows, photo ops, and much more besides.
It’s set to be an unmissable weekend for fans of Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and The Walking Dead. Not only will convention veterans like Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead/Grand Theft Auto V) be there, but the legendary actor John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings/Indiana Jones) is set to make an appearance.
Other guest stars include comedian Catherine Tate (Doctor Who/Catherine Tate Show), as well as Game of Thrones actor Ian Beattie, who played Kingsguard member Ser Meryn Trant. You should also keep an eye out for David Hayter, who was the voice behind Metal Gear Solid’s iconic main character Solid Snake!
The talks tend to fill up quick enough, so be sure to get there early to make sure you can actually see them…
Any of you Game of Thrones fans can look forward to the very last Irish appearance of the Iron Throne, as well as the famous direwolves from the show and a life-size dragon skull! You can also learn how to fight like a real knight. You know, in case those White Walkers decide to attack…
Kids under 10 can go for free* as well, and there will be face painting, soft play, and much more to keep the young ones busy while the grown ups go chasing movie stars for selfies. Kira Kosarin (Phoebe Thunderman) from Nickelodeon’s hit show Kidtropolis will be there too, and kids can brave the huge fun fair park inflatable course. *Subject to terms and conditions.
Fans, friends and families of all ages are being summoned to Comic Con Ireland on Saturday, 13 and Sunday 14, October in the RDS Simmonscourt! In association with Spin 1038, it’ll take place between 9:30 am and 5 pm on the two days. Bursting with tv/movie collectables and guest stars, plus experience Jurassic World, Kidtropolis and Game of Thrones.
