There’s good news and bad news about the weather this week

Weather

Let’s start with the good news.

We’re having a lowkey scorcher of a weekend, and Met Éireann is forecasting that this good fortune will carry through into Monday. The day will be dry with sunny spells and see top temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in light southwesterly breezes.

The weather will, sadly, become more changeable as the week progresses, and Tuesday promises outbreaks of rain in the west becoming more widespread during the day. The temperatures will be steady with highs of between 18 and 20.

There will be both sunny spells and scattered showers on Wednesday, as temperatures remain high, with Thursday looking a bit more breezy and cloudy.

We’re still too far out for Met Éireann to give their forecast for Electric Picnic, but local weather service Carlow Weather has predicted rain.

You can keep up-to-date with all of Met Éireann’s forecasts here.
