WATCH: Here is a pretty comprehensive list of things not to say to Irish people

Rory Cashin

“Top o’ the morni-” “No. No, go away.”

To be fair, being Irish is pretty great.

We regularly top Sexiest Accent lists, when we’re not just plain being called the Sexiest Men In The World, which is pretty sound of the rest of the world to say, even if it is also 100% entirely accurate.

However, there are some downsides to being Irish sometimes, and this video below goes into some detail with some of the things that are ALWAYS being said to Irish folk, and it may be time for the world to retire them all, no matter how many of them may be painfully, on-the-nose correct.*

*While nobody has ever just shouted the word “Potato!” at me, I do have 71 first cousins, which I didn’t realise wasn’t a normal thing to have until I made friends who didn’t live in Ireland, so… there’s that.

So what do you reckon, are there any things you hear a lot from non-Irish folk that is said to you on the regular, or stuff that is just generally assumed of you because you’re Irish? Let us know in the comments below…
