British supermarket Asda were left feeling overjoyed when one of their discount wines was voted the best in the world at the famous Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA).
In a blind tasting test, a panel of 240 international wine experts judged, La Moneda Reserva Malbec from Central Valley in Chile, the best in its category at the prestigious event.
The wine placed first in the Chilean red category, before it was later awarded the overall prize for quality and value for money.

The wine retails for just £4.37 (€5.59) in Asda stores and will surely grow dramatically in popularity following its victory.
