Planning a getaway this summer?
With this past Sunday being the hottest day of the year (so far!), and more good weather on the way, you’ve probably found yourself daydreaming about where you might take a quick holiday this year.
Staycations have become more and more popular in recent years, with Ireland’s hotels filling with tourists who would rather drive than fly to their getaway destination.
But where are the best places to kick back and relax this summer? Which hotels are worth checking into and leaving your stress at the door.
Tripadvisor has very conveniently ranked 25 of the top hotels in the country based on how highly they have rated on the very popular travel platform, so choosing your future holiday has never been easier.
Kerry was by far and away the best holiday destination on the list for hotel attendees, with four of the top five hotels in the country located in the Kingdom.
Munster overall dominated the list, with 12 venues making the cut.
The hotels span the whole country, with venues on the list from Cork to Donegal and everywhere in between.
