Video: An Irish street artist has prettied up the quays with this unreal celtic mural

A brilliant timelapse

Carl Kinsella

We could do with a few more of these.

Renowned street artist James Earley has set about making the fair city even fairer by painting a spectacular mural on City Quay, Dublin 2.

The finished image depicts a vibrant and proud Irish wolfhound against a background that features landmarks such as The Spire, The Ha’penny Bridge and The Guinness Storehouse.

The mural’s stained glass style is a personal touch of Earley’s, whose ancestors owned and operated a stained glass business on Camden Street for over a hundred years until it closed down in the 1970s.

Earley’s uncanny ability to infuse Ireland’s heritage, and his own, into wonderful works of art is something special, and we wouldn’t mind seeing a few more of his endeavours around the city.
