Caroline Morahan gets to grips with puppet dirty talk in the return of Anglo: The Musical
Creator of Ross O’Carroll Kelly, Paul Howard has turned his sights and satire to a musical starring our very own government official muppets. Anglo: The Musical stars muppet-puppet versions of our well-known politicians – Bertie, Biffo, Enda and Merkal. The musical was so popular in it’s first run that it has returned with 20 per cent more Biffo and some new songs.
Caroline Morahan stars as Collagen Murphy, an estate agent to the super wealthy with a weakness for cocaine along with Love/Hate’s Trish. It tells a story about love, ambition, greed, corruption, economic meltdown and copious amounts of pesto, all of which is told through a love story between a pure and innocent Cailín Deasa and……a boy. So, essentially it's the story of our country’s downfall at the hands of our politicians.
The musical was written by Paul Howard and based on an original story by Johnny Morrison, Darren Smith and Colm Tobin.
Following the show’s successful original run in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, it has returned to The Olympia for a four week run until February 2. Tickets are from €20 and can be bought through www.ticketmaster.ie

You’ve got your card details ready and you’ve joined the waiting room with plenty of time to spare. Then 9am rolls around, and a number so big you didn’t even know it existed […]
