Video of dodgy bread dealings in Louth has gone viral during snowy weather

We don’t condone this type of behaviour…

Bread has been the word for February so far. People have been going stone mad buying stocks of bread since the recent spell of cold weather hit the country this week.

Armageddon like scenes were common in shops in the areas most likely affected by the snow, with bread stocks selling out and some jokers even offering to sell the humble slice of pan on Done Deal.

Game of Throne actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jamie Lannister in the series has even weighed in on the bizarre bread trend.

Speaking to RTÉ he said, “Looking at the news in Ireland you’d think that Armageddon is coming. ‘They’re out of bread in Tesco’s!’

“What’s going on with you people?! There’s a bit of snow coming from the sky and you’re panicking!”

Now some other jokers have shed light on the black market bread… market.

Kevin Hilliard and Sean Wynne from Louth have played on the country’s hysteria concerning bread by creating this little video.

The footage was captured at the Village rooms Airbnb in Knockbridge Village, Louth and has been shared more than 40,000 times since it was uploaded.
