No, you didn’t read that headline wrong…
We all bow to peer pressure at one stage of our lives or another but there are always moments where you follow your gut and don’t listen to other people’s jibes or encouragement.
This man in Australia surely should have heeded his gut instinct that what he was about to do was extremely dangerous, foolish and borderline illegal (well, not really but being that stupid should be illegal). You may have seen the footage of the man surfing the whale in shark infested waters last week, and if you liked it, you’re more than likely going to love this video too.
While on a commercial boat in Australia, a man is goaded by his friend into making the death defying leap onto the back of a tiger shark as it swam by the boat. His friend justifies his actions because the shark is a small one and to that we say, “A SMALL SHARK IS STILL A F*CKING SHARK!”
The men appear to be Australian and to make a very wild generalisation, Australians are known to be adrenaline-junkies, although it must be said that we are basing this analogy purely on the Crocodile Dundee movies.
Back to the video; the man lived to tell his tale but we wouldn’t be advising him to attempt to mount any more sharks in the near future… it’s just common courtesy.
