Did he only realise when he went looking for his ‘crocodile shoes’ under the bed in the morning? *Sorry*
Some people with a fear of mice or spiders or strangers watching over them while they sleep can’t go to sleep if they know that they’re present in the bedroom but they’re pretty small fry compared to the eight-foot crocodile that was under the bed of a man in Zimbabwe while he caught forty winks recently.
Guy Whittall, the owner of the Humani Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe, slept in a bed in the lodge for eight hours with no idea the crocodile was beneath him the entire time until he left the room in the morning and his maid screamed at the sight of the unwanted visitor.
Whittall admitted that he had sat on the bed with his legs dangling over the edge for some time after he woke up and was lucky that the croc didn’t take up his offer of an early breakfast before being spotted and eventually pulled out of the lodge and put back into the wild.
If anyone was to report a similar story in Ireland, we’d all know it was a croc of sh*te due to the lack of the large reptiles around these parts, but it might be worth checking under the bed later on tonight just in case.
