Video: Owl be damned. Man removes the scariest-looking owl ever from his house using a Swiffer

You’d expect that a bird would be very keen to escape after finding itself in an unfamiliar environment, but this lad couldn’t give two hoots.

You’d expect that a bird would be very keen to escape after finding itself in an unfamiliar environment, but this lad couldn’t give two hoots.

It’s not every day you expect to come home and find an owl in your kitchen, so we have a lot of sympathy for one guy in the States who arrived at his house to that exact situation over the weekend. All credit to him though, he dealt with it in brilliant fashion.

Grabbing hold of a Swiffer – a combination of a mop and a brush that you’ll definitely have seen but might not have known the name of until now – he calmly manoeuvred the bird onto the cleaning implement and ever so gently escorted him out of the window and out of the house.

He was a little bit nervous throughout the whole process which is entirely understandable as the owl is easily the scariest bird we’ve ever laid eyes on, but he executed the procedure in expert fashion and celebrated in style afterwards.

We bet he could hardly wait to tell the owl lad when he got home later on, wha? *JOE goes to get coat*
