If this ad is for real, then this one seriously honest lawyer
We’ve seen a few ads for lawyers in our time, from the standard ‘have you been injured at work?’ to the one around the Super Bowl that was incredibly amazing and had loads of sledgehammers and fire, but this latest one is something a bit out of the blue.
Daniel Buessig Esq. is (apparently) a real lawyer who, according to Vice is also a rap battler, and has made this pretty straight forward ad about how he plans to simply get as many criminals as he can off the hook for their crimes. The video shows a few of Dan’s “clients” getting released and then going about their criminal business, before Dan has a word in his office about why he’s doing this.
Now obviously JOE is not stupid, and the likelihood of this being a massive pisstake is pretty high, but that hasn’t stopped us from having a bit of a laugh at it either, in particular the bit about funny old-timey crimes. Dan does add that if you are a criminal looking for his services he’s not promising that he can get you out, but he can promise to defend you to the best of his ability. They call that managing expectations in the business, we believe.
There is, of course, the possibility that this is a complete hoax and that it’s some sort of social media/viral campaign for something from some corporate company, like a businessman in his suit and tie, so we’re prepared for that too.
