Guerlain Chicherit is a French freestyle stunt driver, a former Dakar rally driver and the only person to successfully backflip a car. However, his latest world record attempt didn’t quite go to plan…

Chicherit was attempting to complete the world’s longest ramp jump in his (heavily) modified Mini Countryman.

The current record, set by Tanner Foust back in 2011, stands at 332-feet (101-meters), but Chicherit was attempting to jump at least 360-feet (110-meters) in Tignes, France, recently. Sadly for Chicherit, the jump didn’t go to plan and he crashed out just as he hit the landing spot.

Thankfully, he’s okay and a recent post on his Facebook page read: “Some good news from Guerlain after the bad landing on his attempt to break the world record longest jump with a car.

“Guerlain is doing good and has already reviewed video footage of the jump to see what went wrong. He got out of the car himself, slightly injured and will now get a precautionary MRI to check that everything is fine. Further updates to follow once information is released.”
