VIDEO: Watch brave firefighters save a dog from drowning beneath the ice in a lake

These guys are proper heroes.

Dogs are a man's best friend, so there's few things we love to see more than a dog video. But videos of dogs looking cute and cuddly, or active and amusing, don't quite compare to the joy and relief of seeing a dog successfully rescued from the perilous waters of an iced over lake. These firefighters in Virginia, USA waded into the freezing water to save a panicked dog from drowning beneath the ice. By the looks of things they got there just in time.
