WATCH: This live-stream of Temple Bar is showing bewildered tourists with nowhere to go

Rory Cashin

Imagine you’re a tourist on holiday in Dublin today.

You arrive in Temple Bar, the party capital of the party capital of Ireland, the country known – for better or worse – for enjoying a tipple every now and then.

But everything is shut!

Has there been some kind of mandatory evacuation you weren’t informed about? Is this the post-apocalypse? The city centre is just filled with shuffling tourists with no idea where they’re going or what to do with themselves.

That’s what it looks like to us, as the live stream EarthCam currently showing a bizarrely busy-looking Temple Bar is showing right now, which you can check out here.

While we might not be able to down a drink today, we can get some entertainment out of watching other people not being able to down a drink today either.

This might be the last ever year that the alcohol ban will be happening (read all about that here), but if you are hankering for drink today, we have put together a list of ways to get your hands on a pint.
