The struggle is real…
Today probably felt like the longest day in history for thousands of Irish people returning to work after the Christmas break; at least you can take solace in the fact that it’s over and done with (for most of you) at this stage.
Everything will eventually return to normal within a few days, of course, but for many, those first few hours back at the grind can feel like lifetimes.
The dread of resuming a routine, the effects of all the food and alcohol still lingering in your system and the realisation that it’s 12 months before you can do it all over again; it’s not easy.
