WATCH: Postman Pat reimagined as “Pintman Pat” is as glorious as you’d expect

Alan Loughnane

Introducing… Pintman Pat.

It’s the craze that’s taking the internet by storm over the past few weeks and the hilarity of the Pintman phenomenon is showing no signs of letting up anytime soon.

In case you haven’t heard, or are simply unsure of the origins of the craze, it is inspired by the great Paddy Losty, a picture of whom was brought to the Irish public’s attention in 2015 by Publin.ie, who found him in a book titled ‘Dublin pub life and lore’ by Kevin C Kearns.

Paddy was known to put down 30 pints of Guinness per day and was known as one of Dublin’s great “Pintmen”.

We saw earlier that there will be Paddy Losty Memorial Pub Crawl in Dublin on Saturday, 20 May… but if attending we would advise against having 45 pints in about two hours, for your own safety.

In honour of the Pintman phenomenon, Mark O’Connor wanted to share this video he created honouring the craze…
