WATCH: This Irish Olympic hopeful lifting weights and Irish dancing at the same time

A new training method ahead of Rio 2016

Joe Harrington

We are terrible at both.

The Olympics in Rio are less than a year away now and imagine if Ireland qualify for the Euros, we’ll have a hell of a summer in 2016.

To be honest, we’re just trying to put the disappointment of the rugby behind us but our focus will start to turn to Rio 2016 very soon.

Mark O’Donovan is a rower from Cork who’s hoping to make the team for Brazil and his unusual training method was brought to our attention today.

Mark has combined the arts of weight lifting and Irish dancing to create this unique exercise.

It looks like he might have *tapped* into an interesting new training method. Amirite?
