It will be warmer in Ireland than in Athens or Rome this weekend

It won’t be “Quick, lets go to the beach!” weather, but still.

As we reported a few days ago, this February may well be one of the mildest on record.

While it seems unlikely we’ll be reaching the record highs that the UK Met Office had been predicting, it does still look like parts of Ireland will be experiencing some really rather lovely days over the coming weekend.

Met Éireann are predicting an incredible mild weekend, which is likely to power right on through to the start of next week, too.

Friday will see some light rain but it will remain mostly dry, with temperatures getting as high as 15 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday will be pretty much identical, with some drizzle in places, and temperatures ranging from 12 to 14 degrees.

Comparatively, Rome is predicting to get a couple a cloudy days this weekend, with temperatures staying around 12 degrees. Athens will be even worse, with heavy rain and temperatures ranging from 7 to 11 degrees.

In fact, parts of Ireland will be on par with the current weather in Barcelona, where they are expecting a weekend of sun and temperatures mostly ranging from 13 to 16 degrees.

So make the most of it while you can, because if there is one thing that Irish weather can be counted on being, it is being unpredictable!
