Would you eat this 1,360 calorie ‘pizzaburger’?

America’s latest food innovation is one that we would love to try, but we fear we might get addicted to it and become forced to spend the rest of our days washing ourselves with a flannel on a stick. Called the pizzaburger it is the invention of Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar chain and it really is just a cheeseburger encased in a pepperoni pizza, sort of like a ridiculously over stuffed calzone. On the slighter healthier side it also comes with lettuce, pickle and tomato and will set you back $10.29 (€7.75). It will also take up over half your calorie allowance, if you’re a man, at 1,360. In fairness to them, the makers of this monster aren’t claiming it is good for you. ‘We're not pretending that it's a healthy product,’ said Brad Bevill, vice president of marketing in USA Today. ‘You're talking about a hamburger and pizza wrapped together.’ Indeed. Launched in Canada a few months back, it has now hit the US and become, unsurprisingly, a massive hit.
