This Dubliner is the brains behind a gorgeous chocolate kebab shop in Australia

They look delicious.

Kebabs are perfect for any end of night cuisine or hangover cure but an Irishman living in Perth may have just perfected the food that we all love so much.

It may not seem like the most obvious combination, but these chocolate kebabs look delicious.

Speaking with JOE, the creator/owner of ‘Happy Larry’s in Perth, Ned Russell, said that the idea to combine both foods came to him after he saw a chocolate kebab machine for sale on Facebook.

“It was all the way back in January, but I thought, that’s a really cool idea”.

“I actually couldn’t sleep for two nights after I saw it, because I just thought it such a eureka moment, it was a chocolate revelation” he said.

We’d love to see something like it here in Dublin and Ballybrack man Ned says that he could definitely see it happening in the future.

“I think if you changed the toppings a bit for Irish customers I would definitely work” he said.

The shop only opened in May and although it’s not the first of it’s kind, Ned says that his business stands out from the others for it’s quality.

“There is one other shop I’ve seen but they use vegetable oil chocolate, I sourced a chocolatier which had real chocolate.”
