Cody to remain as Kilkenny boss next season

Brian Cody has been ratified as manager of the Kilkenny senior hurling team for the coming year following a meeting of the Kilkenny County Board on Monday evening.

Cody has been in charge of the Cats since 1998 and has masterminded seven All-Ireland titles in his time in charge, although Tipperary prevented Cody and the current Kilkenny side from completing a momentous five titles in a row by defeating them in a thrilling decider back in September.

Martin Fogarty and Mick Dempsey will continue to act as Cody’s selectors next season.
