Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash at the junction of Middle Abbey Street and O’Connell Street, Dublin 1 on Wednesday afternoon (1 April).
Shortly before 1pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision involving a truck and a cyclist.
The male cyclist, aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently examining the scene, and local traffic diversions are in place.
Road users have been asked to take alternative routes as traffic delays are expected in the area.
A Garda spokesperson added: "Road users and pedestrians with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of Middle Abbey Street and O’Connell Street, Dublin 1 between 12.30pm and 1.30pm today are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on (01) 6668000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
"Investigations are ongoing."
