Gardaí has seized two BMW X5 cars worth €250,000 along with Rolex watches, Louis Vuitton bags and jewellery worth €40,000 this week, as they carried out a Dublin charity raid.
While Gardaí have not confirmed any arrests, they say the investigation continues.
The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau ran the searches jointly with the office of the Charities Regulator.
Gardaí confirmed the partnership on Thursday as it issued a statement.
"The investigation, into a Dublin-based charitable organisation, is carried out in conjunction with the office of the Charities Regulator," gardaí said.
The involvement of the regulator suggests not just a standalone criminal case, but scrutiny of how the charity handled its funds.
"During the course of the searches, gardaí seized two BMW X5 cars with a total estimated value of €250,000 and other high value items including Louis Vuitton bags, Rolex watches and jewellery with a total estimated value of €40,000," Gardaí said.
The seized items add up to roughly €290,000 together.
For when the investigation might conclude, Gardaí have given no timeline yet.
