Irish international Jonny Sexton has been withdrawn from the Leinster team to face Edinburgh in the Magners League this evening.
The decision to withdraw Sexton was taken in order to give the out half more time to recover from the minor quad injury sustained prior to the clash with the Cardiff Blues two weeks ago.
Ian Madigan, who filled in at out-half against Cardiff and against Benetton Treviso last weekend, will take Sexton’s place in the starting line-up.
Leinster’s clash with Edinburgh kicks off in Murrayfield this evening at 7.05pm.
Leinster: Rob Kearney; Shane Horgan, Brian O’Driscoll, Gordon D’Arcy, Luke Fitzgerald; Ian Madigan, Eoin Reddan; Heinke van der Merwe, Richardt Strauss, Mike Ross; Ed O’Donoghue; Devin Toner, Dominic Ryan, Shane Jennings (CAPTAIN), Stephen Keogh.
Replacements: Jason Harris-Wright, Cian Healy, Simon Shawe, Mariano Galarza, Jamie Heaslip, Isaac Boss, Isa Nacewa, Eoin O’Malley.
