All-Ireland winners Cork and runners-up Down have dominated the 2010 Vodafone Football All-Star selection, with four players from each side selected.
Champions Cork are represented by Michael Shields, Paudie Kissane, Graham Canty and Aidan Walsh, while Brendan McVeigh, Daniel Hughes, Marty Clarke and Benny Coulter from the Mourne County have made the final fifteen.
Semi-finalists Kildare have two players on the team – defender Peter Kelly and forward Johnny Doyle, while Dublin have only one representative – favourite for the footballer of the year award, Bernard Brogan.
Louth’s Paddy Keenan will be the first player from the Wee County to win an All-Star award, while elsewhere there were awards for Sligo’s Charlie Harrison, Tyrone’s Philip Jordan and a fifth award for Kerry’s Colm Cooper.
Bernard Brogan, Michael Shields and Danny Hughes have all been nominated for the Football of the Year award, which will be announced at the All-Stars banquet on Friday, 15 October.
