The evening meeting at Dundalk and Heineken Cup rugby form the basis of today’s Daily Double.

Racing this evening is at Dundalk and we’re going for a Paul Rooney four-year old with a good pedigree at the Co. Louth track.

BANNA BOIRCHE had a super run at the track in March and April, with two wins and a second place finish in three races and although he was a little off the pace when finishing fourth behind Hajourn a fortnight back, he should go close this evening in the 7.00 handicap with Johnny Murtagh at the reins.

Banna Boirche can be backed at 5/1.

Fresh from beating Munster at the Madejski last weekend, London Irish travel to Wales to take on the Ospreys this evening in the latest episode in what is an extremely difficult Heineken Cup pool three. Both Munster and Ospreys took bonus points away from their defeats last weekend, a pattern that could well repeat itself throughout the course of the group.

We have a feeling that something similar will occur again this evening and fancy London Irish to come away from the game with something to show for their efforts.

Have a go on the Ospreys to win by 1-5 points at 9/2.

JOE's Daily Double: Banna Boirche (Dundalk, 7.00 @ 5/1) and Ospreys to beat London Irish by 1-5 points at 9/2.
