McIlroy struggling in second round

South African Louis Oosthuizen has posted a second round 67 and is currently five shots clear at the top of the leaderboard at St Andrews.

Oosthuizen lay second, two strokes behind the pace-setting Rory McIlroy, after an opening round 65 on Thursday but sank seven birdies in a five under par second round to move three clear in the clubhouse.

McIlroy lies in joint seventh place on -5 after dropping four shots in today's round after seven holes.

Irishman Graeme McDowell has improved to five under par after a second round of 68 and Shane Lowry has dropped back to -3 after his second round.
