Dublin commuters facing long tailbacks due to two collisions on the M50

Conor Heneghan

Dublin Fire Brigade say the recovery will take some time.

Motorists using the M50 in Dublin faced long delays after two collisions led to significant tailbacks on Thursday morning.

Two collisions, one just before Junction 6 Blanchardstown and another just before Junction 9 Red Cow, caused huge traffic delays for motorists.

The collision just before J6 Blanchardstown was cleared as of 8am on Thursday, but the collision near the Red Cow, which involved six vehicles and blocked three lanes at one point, is expected to take longer to clear.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and for more information, keep an eye on AA Roadwatch on Twitter.
