Ford Ireland has issued a voluntary recall of its Ranger passenger car models which were manufactured in 2011.
The reason for the recall is due to a potential risk where the clip with which the gear pulleys are secured, may not be completely engaged in the metal section of the handbrake pulley.
This fault could mean that the vehicle no longer has any power.
According to Ford, there are 143 affected vehicles currently on the Irish market.
Affected consumers will be contacted by Ford Ireland and will be advised to bring the vehicle to any authorised Ford garage where the vehicle will be checked and reworked free of charge if necessary.
You can contact Ford Ireland on 1800 771 199.
