Snow, ice and cold temperatures have led to treacherous conditions on roads throughout Ireland this morning.
AA Roadwatch have been busy issuing updates about roads where conditions are particularly treacherous, with roads in Limerick, Leitrim, Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan amongst the areas worst affected.

A status orange snow-ice weather warning for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo and a status yellow snow-ice weather warning for Munster, Leinster, Galway and Roscommon remain in place until 6pm on Friday evening, with temperatures not expected to exceed 5 degrees on Friday.
Further wintry showers are expected amidst spells of dry and clear weather on Saturday, with much milder conditions expected to prevail from Sunday onwards.
