Seeing this car spinning down the motorway must have been some sight.
As was once famously illustrated in Friends, mattresses aren’t the easiest things to have to shift from one place to another, but there are ways and means that are far safer than witnessed on the M50 this week.
The Gardai today released pictures of a car that was pulled over by DMR (Dublin Metropolitan Region) Traffic with a mattress and a headboard tied on to the roof of a car.
Not with rope or some other secure mechanism we should add, but with a garden hose.

The driver of the car was issued with a fixed charge penalty notice (FCPN), which, you would imagine, will discourage them from pulling a stunt like this in future.
