There’s no running from this marine bheast

The last time we saw the high-speed, low radar cross-section (RCS) Cork-built interceptor called the Barracuda, it was pictured on the river Lee, but this time around we get to see it in action. Secret pop-up guns and all. Take a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=20&v=cMZlKStA4_0 According to the boat’s manufacturer, Safehaven Marine, the Barracuda is “a high speed low RCS Interceptor for military and law enforcement roles. "A range of different weapons can be concealed below deck and raised up through a hatch when required, which together with specialised design and construction allows for a lower RCS than vessels with exposed weapon arrangements.” Sounds impressive. But wait, there’s more… “The design features an all new deep V high speed hull, incorporating a wave piercing bow that will allow for speeds of 35-40kts+ (~75kmh).” Even more impressive is the fact that the boat can be operated from the shore using remote control technology. As for the price, the Barracuda costs over €1 million. We’ll be sticking this on our Amazon wish list… Head over to Safehaven Marine to check out more pics and videos of the Barracuda.
