The first season caught the attention of the world.

It has been nearly four months since the first season of 13 Reasons Why hit our screens and it had a massive immediate impact all over the world. Fans were desperate for a second season of the show and they got their wish.

One of the stars of the popular show is the actress who plays Hannah Baker’s mother in the hit Netflix series. Kate Walsh revealed some interesting information about her character, Olivia and what is in store for her in the next series.

She told People Now that her character will be even more determined to get to the bottom of her daughter’s suicide and will stop at nothing to get the truth.

“We’ll see more and more of the mystery getting revealed, and I think you see Mrs Baker still questing for the answers of what happened to her daughter. We’ve already started shooting, so I know where it’s going,” said Walsh.

She also told People Now that the show’s famous time-shifting narrative will remain in the second series and praised the show’s creator, Brian Yorkey, on his use of it.

“His use of time and going back and forth in time, we’ll see more of that. He has such an incredibly all-encompassing vision for the show.

“He does a great job of playing with storytelling in a kind of Rashomon kind of way, so you see it from lots of different points of views.” concluded Walsh.

The new information comes after the creator, Brian Yorkey, admitted a few weeks ago that the story of Jessica Davis is “not done” claiming that “to leave those two [Jessica and Bryce] things hanging out there in the world would be upsetting.”

He also added that that the second season would not rely solely on Hannah’s story.

“The tapes are still obviously on people’s minds, but there is a different sort of analogue technology that plays a hugely important role in season two,” he concluded.

Filming for the second season has already begun.
